Triumph Vocational Services Many Benefits to Triumph A Triumph Vocational Services™ Success Story • February, 2005 Since 1972, the Immigrant Services Society of BC (ISS), a not-for-profit organization, has played an important role in the settlement, training and integration of immigrants and refugees, from the day they arrive in Canada.Moussa, an ISS employee, runs the organization’s volunteer program and he was pleased to offer a position to Corbra, a Triumph Client. He thinks it’s important to hire persons with disabilities because “We all deserve the same chance at getting a meaningful occupation.” Along with Corbra, several persons with disabilities work at ISS and the organization knows the practice makes good sense. “For us, there are many benefits,” says Moussa, “Everyone is bringing something valuable to our organization and they make a lot of difference to those they help.” Triumph is a hit with ISS, and Moussa says he’ll continue to be a regular user of the service. “I’ve never been disappointed. I’ve had several volunteers and they have all done very well.
